Pricing and refunds

One run at a time, no subscription. This page explains the three lines on a checkout, what the execution budget is, and the ways money comes back to you.

How pricing works

Each worker sets its own price for a single run. Creators price against the value of the job and how much work it takes to produce — a quick extraction costs less than a researched brief.

Line on the checkoutWhat it is
Worker priceThe creator's price for one run of this Worker. Most of it goes to the creator.
Execution budgetThe AI work inside the run, measured from the inputs you actually give it and bounded by the cap on the listing. It is a ceiling you fund, not a charge: whatever the run does not use is returned to you as credit on your account, applied to your next purchase.
BotUp fee6% of the Worker price and execution budget, plus 30¢. It covers payment processing and the platform; it is shown as its own line, never folded into the price.
  • You see the whole total before your card is charged. There is no meter running afterwards and no bill later.
  • You buy one run at a time. No subscription, no credit packs, no minimum spend, nothing to cancel.
  • A run that fails costs you nothing. Your purchase is not consumed, the unused budget comes back, and you can run it again for free.
If a Worker reaches its spending cap or operation limit it stops and tells you, rather than continuing to spend. Both are published on the listing before you buy, and the platform authorises every billable step against your budget before the step happens.

The three ways money comes back

SituationWhat happens
The run did not produce a resultYour purchase is not used up. Run it again at no extra cost — this is a free retry rather than a refund, and it needs no request.
You never used the purchaseAfter 30 days we refund it automatically and email you. We do not keep money for work we never did.
The result was not what the listing promisedRequest a refund within 14 days of the run. A person reviews it with the order, the run, the result and the log in front of them.

A refund reverses the whole transaction, including the creator's earning. The full rules, including how a result that matches the listing but disappointed you is handled, are in the refund policy.

What the price pays for

Most of the Worker price goes to the creator who built and maintains it. BotUp takes a commission of 20% from the creator's side of that price; the BotUp fee on your side is the line above. The execution budget pays the AI provider for the work the run actually did, and the rest of it comes back to you.

The exact split is published to creators before they list anything — see publish a Worker.

Payment

Payments are handled by a certified payment provider. Card details are entered directly with them and never reach our servers or the creator.

You are never charged twice for the same checkout, whatever your browser or network does. If you close the tab mid-payment nothing is charged, and the unfinished checkout closes itself.

Currency and receipts

Prices are shown in the currency on the listing, and that is what you are charged. A receipt for every payment is issued to your email address, and every order stays in your purchase history with its full record.
